MISSION STATEMENT

To proclaim the Good News of God’s saving grace.
To warn all people that the hour of God’s judgment has come.
To be true to our God-given calling.
To equip and support workers in this conference.
To nurture our church members.
To provide for the spiritual and physical needs of the people in our territory.

HISTORY

The Conference came into being as a result of the merging of the Oranje-Natal Conference with the Natal Field at the end of 1994. The former had its
headquarters in Pietermaritzburg while the Natal Field was based at KwaMashu, some 100km away.

With the social change that took place in South Africa in 1994, the way was clear for the two entities to come together as one with headquarters in Pinetown.  The new organization was initially known as the NATAL-FREE STATE CONFERENCE, but it later came to be known as the KWAZULU NATAL-FREE STATE CONFERENCE.  Even though there might have been some hesitancy on the part of some, nevertheless it was voted to go forward in faith and take the bold step to cross the Rubicon, so to speak, and the resulting synergies have justified the action.

Since the founding of the Conference, the following officers have served:
