Welcome to our Southern Africa Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SAU) website.  We view ourselves as a prophetic movement driven by a prophetic mission.

“The mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to proclaim to all peoples the everlasting gospel in the context of the three angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12, and as revealed in the life, death, resurrection, and high priestly ministry of  Jesus Christ, leading them to accept Jesus as personal Saviour and to unite with His church, and to nurture believers as disciples in preparation for His soon return.”

The SAU follows in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.  “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” (Mat 4:23 MKJV)
 
Ellen G White, a co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist church, wrote, “To save souls should be the life work of every one who professes Christ. We are debtors to the world for the grace given us of God, for the light which has shone upon us, and for the discovered beauty and power of the truth.” (Testimonies, vol. 4, p. 53)
 
 
 

The SAU is divided into six Conferences and one Field that oversee the specific work of churches, schools and other entities within their regions.  These are:
  • Cape Conference (CC)
  • Kwa-Zulu Natal Free State Conference (KNFC)
  • Lesotho Conference (LC)
  • Namibia Field (NBF)
  • Swaziland Conference (SC)
  • Trans-Orange Conference (TOC)
  • Transvaal Conference (TC)

The SAU also ministers to the needs of the people in its territory through its institutions, namely:
  • Maluti Adventist Hospital
  • Vista Clinic
  • Adventist Professional Health & Humanitarian Services (APHHES)
  • Voice of Prophecy (VOP)
  • Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA-SA)
  • Meals-on-Wheels Community Services (MOWCS)
  • Helderberg College
