The Transvaal Conference (TC) is part of the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist Church. Seventh-day Adventists are one of the fastest-growing Christian churches in the world today, adding one new member by baptism every 38 seconds of every day, with an average of 2 100 people baptised every day.

The Transvaal Conference is a multi-cultural and multi-racial Conference, one of 8 Conferences in the Southern Africa Union Conference (SAU).

The Transvaal Conference Women’s Ministries Department has planned one (1) “powerful and dynamic” Leadership Certification Level 1 Training weekend from the 3 – 5 October 2008.

ASI SA (Adventist Laymen Services and Industries) has now been officially launched in SA. Prof Sirayi was elected as the president, and the following people from the TC are also on the ASI SA Board: Piet Smuts (General VP), Eugene Moonsamy (VP for Finances), Jan Helberg (TC Rep). This is a lay person’s organization that gets church members who are business people involved in spreading the gospel. ASI leaders from Zimbabwe and Zambia inspired the 175 guests who were in Bloemfontein on Sabbath. The special guests from the USA were Donna and Denzil McNeillus, present and past chairperson of ASI respectively.
